Some wheels become icons. The original WORK VS KF is one of them.

First introduced as part of WORK's renowned VS Series, the VS KF developed a strong following for its distinctive three-piece construction, expansive spokes and unmistakable Japanese VIP/performance aesthetic. After production ended in 2017, the VS KF became increasingly difficult to find and highly sought after by enthusiasts looking to recreate the look of a classic JDM build.
Now, WORK has brought the name back.

Introducing the WORK VS KF♯ (Sharp) a modern evolution of the legendary VS KF, combining the character of the original with updated design, construction and customisation options.
A Classic Design, Sharpened
The VS KF♯ stays true to the fundamental design language that made the original VS KF so recognisable.

Its broad, expansive spokes remain the defining feature, but WORK has introduced additional lines and sculpting to give the new wheel a sharper and more contemporary appearance.
The result is a design that feels familiar without simply being a reproduction.

The spokes feature carefully rounded surfaces that add depth and a sense of movement, while the additional detailing creates a more defined and sophisticated appearance.
It is this combination of nostalgia and evolution that gives the VS KF♯ its identity.
Why the "♯"?
The Sharp symbol isn't just a styling choice.
In music, a sharp raises a note by a half-step. WORK uses the symbol to represent the evolution of the VS KF — taking the original concept and moving it forward for a new generation.
The result is a wheel designed to appeal to enthusiasts who appreciate the heritage of classic Japanese wheels, but want something with a distinctly modern edge.
Lightweight. Strong. Built for Modern Applications.
Despite its substantial visual presence, WORK has engineered the VS KF♯ using its advanced casting technology to achieve a balance between weight and strength.

WORK states that all VS KF♯ sizes are rated to a 720 kg load capacity, making the wheel suitable for a broad range of applications, including larger vehicles such as the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire.
The 21-inch Full Reverse configuration increases the load rating to 840 kg.
This gives the VS KF♯ the versatility to move beyond traditional sedan applications, with WORK positioning the wheel for sedans, SUVs and sports cars.
A True 3-Piece WORK Wheel
The VS KF♯ retains the three-piece construction that has long been associated with WORK's premium VS range.

This construction allows for extensive customisation, giving owners the ability to specify the wheel around their vehicle rather than simply selecting from a fixed range of off-the-shelf configurations.
The VS KF♯ is available with multiple rim and centre finishes, allowing the final appearance to be tailored to the build.
Rim Finish Options
Available rim finishes include:
-
Buff Alumite
-
Bronze Anodized
-
Matte Bronze Anodized
-
Black Anodized
-
Matte Black Anodized
-
Brushed
These options can dramatically change the character of the wheel — from a traditional polished JDM appearance through to a darker, more contemporary specification.
Semi-Order Disk Colours
For even more customisation, WORK offers its Custom Order Color program.

The disk can be specified in 12 different colours, allowing the VS KF♯ to be configured to complement the vehicle's paint, trim and overall build direction.

Combined with the range of rim finishes, the result is a highly configurable wheel that can be tailored to everything from a subtle OEM+ build to a more aggressive show or VIP-inspired specification.
Full Reverse or Step Rim?
The VS KF♯ is offered in different rim configurations, including Full Reverse and Step Rim.
The choice between configurations can influence both the appearance and overall character of the finished wheel, particularly when combined with the available rim and disk colour options.
Designed for More Than One Generation
One of the most interesting aspects of the VS KF♯ is its broad application range.
WORK specifically highlights the wheel's suitability for vehicles such as the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire, while also positioning it for sedans, SUVs and sports cars.

The availability of multiple P.C.D. configurations further expands its potential applications, with WORK offering special P.C.D. options designed to accommodate multiple vehicle models.
As with any custom three-piece wheel, however, the correct specification depends on the individual vehicle.
Brake clearance, suspension setup, bodywork, tyre selection and desired wheel position all need to be considered before finalising the order.
The VS KF♯ for Australian Builds
For Australian enthusiasts, the appeal of the VS KF♯ is its ability to bring a distinctly Japanese wheel aesthetic to a wide variety of builds.

The design works particularly well on vehicles where a traditional multi-piece wheel complements the overall character of the car.
Think:
-
Japanese performance sedans
-
VIP-style builds
-
Modern Japanese luxury vehicles
-
Sports cars
-
SUVs and large Japanese MPVs
-
OEM+ builds looking for something more distinctive
And because the VS KF♯ is a custom-order three-piece wheel, the fitment can be specified around the vehicle rather than forcing the vehicle to work around a limited off-the-shelf size.
Why We Like the VS KF♯
The return of the VS KF isn't simply a nostalgia play.
WORK could have reproduced the original design almost exactly, but instead has taken the opportunity to evolve it.
The result is a wheel that retains the unmistakable identity of the original VS KF while introducing sharper detailing, modern engineering and a much broader range of customisation.
For enthusiasts who remember the original VS KF, the VS KF♯ offers a familiar design with a fresh interpretation.
For those discovering the design for the first time, it offers something completely different from the increasingly common modern mesh and split-spoke wheels.
Classic Japanese design. Modern execution. Completely customisable.
That's the appeal of the new WORK VS KF♯.
